Landscapes are never truly still, and sand dunes are the clearest example of this constant motion. They shift along the shoreline, reshaped by wind and transformed after each storm. Yet beneath this movement lies a quiet resistance: the grasses that hold them in place. Their intricate network of roots weaves deep through the sand, anchoring them. This work explores both the restless movement of the dunes and the steadying force of the grasses that bind them.

A late evening walk to clear my mind of anxiety. There was a feeling of being accompanied by all the times this had been done before by me and others. £1000

A beautiful autumn weekend where the hills were covered in ginger bracken and heather. I was visiting a dear friend, and that first evening, we were walking along the Loch shore, lost in conversation and just being there. £1000
